In collaboration with Tribal Warrior and Causy Studio, we had the privilege of bringing Jacob Saunders’ story to life through animation.
As an Aboriginal man, Jacob’s journey is at the heart of his awareness program, and our challenge was to capture the depth of his experiences while staying true to his narrative.
This project was all about emotion, storytelling, and authenticity ... Making sure his message resonated powerfully with audiences.
These are some of the scenes I animated. It was a fun and rewarding process, bringing his journey to life through animation.
I was the Director and oversaw the storyboard, Creative direction and delegation of animation.
This was definitely a challenge, as I had to balance strengths and weaknesses of the team, as most of our members were not animators.
However we completed ahead of schedule and with overwhelmingly positive feedback, in huge part to a great team and accomodating client.
We used muted tones to reflect Jacob’s struggles and deep blues for sadness, while warmer hues brought out moments of joy and hope.
In the end, red became a powerful symbol not just of his past pain, but of his strength in channeling those emotions for something greater.
